Built for people who already have a day job.

Second Shift prepares adults for HVAC, electrical, and plumbing certification exams in twelve evening sessions, taught by licensed tradespeople from our own SWIFT network. Tools and exam fees are covered; childcare runs in the next room.

The program is fiscally sponsored so it can hold employer grants and issue receipts while its founders build toward independent nonprofit status.

Students appear with signed releases. Exam results are never published with names.

Second Shift Trade Prep is a fiscally sponsored project of SWAT for Christ, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Gifts are made to SWAT for Christ, restricted to this project, and released against documented costs. SWAT for Christ holds legal and financial responsibility; the project keeps its own leadership, name, and direction. Donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law.
