WHAT WE DO / EQUIPPING / EQ-01

SWAT Academy station patch

STATION EQ-01 · EQUIPPING · NEW BRANCH

SWAT Academy

Everyone who wears the patch has been through the same door.

Academy is the training and vetting station for everyone who joins SWAT for Christ — member, volunteer, or leader. It exists so that a team arriving in someone’s worst week is doctrinally settled, operationally ready, and screened before they knock on the door. Three tracks, one standard.

FreeBASIC TRAINING · REQUIRED

Nobody joins a squad without it. General Academy plus the practical training that a specific station demands, finished with a shadowed first shift rather than a certificate.

Everything in General Academy
Background check and reference on file
Station module: intake, privacy, consent, escalation
One shadowed shift signed off by a squad lead

Leadership Track

Squad leads, station leads, staff

PaidCOHORT · APPLICATION REQUIRED

For the people who will carry other people. A cohort with real coursework, and a vetting process that looks at character and reputation before it looks at a résumé.

Everything in the Squad Track
Written application, three references, panel interview
Doctrinal review and financial integrity check
Acts 6:3 character assessment, reviewed annually
Apply to the cohort

Tier 3 fees are waived for anyone the fee would keep out. Ask; nobody has been turned away for money, and nobody has been advanced without the vetting.

HOW IT RUNS

Three steps, every time

01

Enrol at the level you need

General Academy takes no approval. Squad and Leadership start with a short form so we know which station you are aiming at.

02

Train, then be checked

Coursework first, then the parts that cannot be self-reported: references, background check, and for Tier 3, a panel.

03

Serve under a lead

Everyone finishes in the field, not in a classroom, with a squad lead who signs off before you carry anything alone.

“Choose seven men from among you who are known to be full of the Spirit and wisdom. We will turn this responsibility over to them.” — Acts 6:3

ACTS 6:1–6 · THE APPOINTING OF THE SEVEN

“It would not be right for us to neglect the ministry of the word of God in order to wait on tables. Choose seven men of good report, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom.”

The first job description in the church was written for people waiting tables, and the qualification was character. Academy is how we keep that order: reputation and spiritual maturity first, competence trained on top.

EQUIPPING BRANCH · EQ-01

Training is not the hurdle before the work. It is the first part of it.
