THE STORY

Not a program. A porch.

Six neighbors bought the derelict house at the end of their street, fixed the porch first, and started opening it on Saturdays — coffee, homework help, a working phone, a printer, and adults who know everyone's name. Nothing is scheduled. Everything is consistent.

Fiscal sponsorship lets a genuinely small effort accept grants and donations without incorporating, filing, and hiring an accountant before it has finished the roof.
